feminine energy and the gym

My approach to working out has changed drastically in the past two years....

Before:

I pushed myself to follow a strict workout plan

Never missed a Monday

Believed in “no pain, no gain”

Beat myself up if I got off track

And believed that my value came from looking perfectly toned, being a size 0, and being disciplined and hard working

Now:

I don’t ever work out if I don’t feel like it/or my body is telling me to rest

If I follow a workout plan, it’s for fun and inspiration only, and I modify and skip the workouts that don’t feel good to me

I believe that self care (getting a massage, manicure, pedicure, red light therapy, journaling, sleep, castor oil packs, spending time in nature/the sun) is even more important, than getting a workout in

I lift more weights and do less hiit and cardio

I know that my value has nothing to do with anything external and is determined my nothing other than my energy

I flow with my feminine fluctuations, cycles, and seasons, choosing to honor where I’m at in each moment, rather than pushing through and ignoring my inner wisdom
